Travel & Accommodations
La Pinilla is located in Segovia province near the border with Madrid Province, 100km from the Madrid airport and 120km from Madrid Atocha Station. The resort is under 10km from the historical and picturesque town of Riaza, which will have shuttle service operating back and forth during the event. Please see details below on how to arrive to La Pinilla or Riaza. Additional information will be updated as we move closer to the festival.
Getting Here
For those traveling to Astral Plane Festival from Madrid Barajas airport or from Madrid Atocha, we are partnering with a transportation company to offer direct buses from these transport hubs to the festival. We are finalizing details to share soon. If you are interested in this method of transport please sign up for the waitlist here. We plan to offer buses at multiple times arriving to the festival on Monday and departing Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Those driving should park in Riaza, where we will offer ongoing shuttles from the town to the resort. Parking will be limited in the areas closer to the resort so this is the recommended option for travelers by car. Directions to Riaza from Atocha and Madrid Barajas. The trip is around sixty minutes from Barajas and eighty minutes from Madrid.
The Spanish bus line offers two buses daily to Riaza (which requires a transfer in nearby Santo Tome del Puerto). Buses leave Intercambiador de Avenida de América at 07:30 and 14:45. There are two that return daily from Riaza as well, at 08:15 and 15:29. Roundtrip bus tickets are generally below 15 euro.
Group rideshare company Bla Bla Car is also a way to reach the Riaza and La Pinilla area. You can match with a driver and take discounted group rides to the area! Rides are often below 10 euro per person each direction.
Ride Share
Companies such as Bolt and Uber operate from Madrid to the area, with ride prices around 100 euro each direction per vehicle for up to four passengers. Return availability can be limited so plan accordingly.
Staying Here
We are excited to welcome travelers from all over the world to La Pinilla, Riaza, and the surrounding region! With its high elevation, the region features average temperatures from 15-28 Celsius in mid August, making it a great area to spend a few days in nature!
On Mountain
For those with their own tent we will offer camping on the festival grounds! Camping plots will be 2.5m X 2.5m with the option to buy a plot for one or two people (a plot will fit a large two person tent). A camping plot for two people provides the plot and entrance to the camping area during the festival. Larger groups can buy multiple plots if they want to camp next to each other (to ensure this is possible, we ask that groups wanting to camp together arrive together to the festival).
Reserve campingPlease note, to reach the camping area there is a semi-steep hill approximately 70 meters long.
For those who want a low cost camping option and don't want to hassle with traveling with a tent, we will offer tent rentals good for two people that are steps away from the festival grounds. More information on tent rentals coming soon, and if you are interested please sign up for the waitlist here.

The festival will feature two glamping options:
Standard Glamping — 1 or 2 people
Available for one or two people, featuring a standard tent with upgraded amenities inside (think comfortable mattress). This area will have access to standard bathrooms. Standard glamping rentals coming soon! If you are interested please sign up for the waitlist here.
Deluxe Glamping — 2, 4, or 6 people
Limited quantity premium glamping amenities available for 2, 4, or 6 people. This area will feature premium bathrooms and showers. Glamping rentals coming soon! If you are interested please sign up for the waitlist here.
Off Mountain
Riaza is a beautiful community near La Pinilla and features multiple hotels as well as some Airbnb options. We will soon share a list of local hotels in Riaza. Astral Plane Festival will run ongoing shuttles from Riaza to La Pinilla during the festival, taxis will also be an option for people on the outskirts of town.
Situated on the edge of Riaza, Camping Riaza is a traditional campground with space for camping, RVs and caravans, and also offers bungalow rentals. Camping Riaza is a 15-20 minute walk from the shuttle stop.
There are several other towns and rural areas in the Sierra de Ayllón region, with various options available through Airbnb, Booking.com, and other similar platforms. Several towns are 10-20km from La Pinilla, making taxis a possibility. You can learn more about these beautiful nearby towns here.
